The process of stenciling
concrete has been done by contractors for ages. There are a number of reasons
why we would recommend stenciled concrete.
For a start, it’s one of the
simplest methods of finishing a concrete pathway. The installation process is
pretty simple and most people who are good at DIY projects can handle it.
However, stenciling large surfaces can be a hard task and requires several
hands.
Stenciling can also be done
fast and without a lot of technicalities. You are even able to mimic the look
of stone or tiles using stencils which makes it a cost effective technique.
Stenciling can also be considered as a safe finishing method for slippery
surfaces such as a poolside. The stencils can be placed on the target area and
work can begin even before the concrete sets after it has been poured. In order
to make the surface look authentically tiled, you can add grout lines on
stenciled concrete.
However, stenciling needs to
be done at the right time. The finishing process can be demanding in hot or
rainy weather and the concrete labourers
will have to make several adjustments in order to maintain the look of the
design. Sealing is also required on a regular basis to keep the surface looking
polished.
